In addition to healing traditions, ceremonies and spiritual practices from the world's great mystical teachings, we will draw upon the collective wisdom of proven clinical curriculum to re-awaken our capacity to live. Empowered by our new insights and our experience of connectedness, we will begin to create lives that reflect our longing to live an authentic and powerful life.
Primary Treatment
Primary Treatment is a beginning to healing and building awareness. At Alta Mira we respectfully address each client as an individual with unique experiences, backgrounds and potential.
To transform our lives from suffering and struggle, we must come to terms with self-sabotaging behaviors, addictive patterns, nutritional deficiencies, fears and heartbreaks. Empowerment is achieved by taking responsibility for our actions.
In Primary Treatment clients advance through a series of levels, taking on increasing responsibility for treatment and recovery. Through honesty, open-mindedness and willingness, we reclaim our personal power in order to recreate our relationship with life.
Extended Care Program
Research shows that recovery outcomes significantly improve after three to four months of treatment. Our Extended Care Program provides 20 hours of structure per week and allows clients to begin to establish a sober support system in the local community. This work is done in the comfort and safety of the Alta Mira healing environment.
In some cases, clients transfer from another primary treatment program to continue care. In such cases, the client moves into Extended Care as soon as the person has demonstrated his or her level of recovery.
Extended Care is a unique program where clients, supported by our expert staff in real-world situations, see and address the beliefs, behaviors and attachments that challenge their continued growth and transformation. While deepening awareness and strengthening new ways of being, clients focus on meeting life on life's terms to choose happiness and freedom.
Family Process – Healing Our Legacy
As adults, we inherit our relationship model from our family of origin. A family is a connected group of individuals who share a common history and interest in one another. At the same time we are also individuals who are each responsible for our own choices.
The Alta Mira Family Process begins with exploring each person's role and responsibility within their family system. Before addressing the system, we begin with taking a close look at ourselves.
Alta Mira offers extended family process both on and off site. |
